Visual Sun Time meaning[change source]

"Visual Sun Time" is not adequately defined in this article, and the link is to an articled called Solar Time. @Kai Burghardt please add a more thorough description or change the linked artcile. Leirbagflow (talk) 00:41, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Leirbagflow: Thank you for your criticism. The proper term is Apparent Solar Time. However, I assessed apparent and solar were complex English words and chose the most simple words I could think of. Maybe it is too confusing and we should rewrite the sentence or simply use the “complex” English term indeed. ‑‑Kai Burghardt (talk) 10:12, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It’s already a technical article with complex terms - as any article about time and time zones will be. I don’t think there’s a need to try to simplify, especially if it leads to ambiguity. So my vote would be for precision, and if that means using the complex terms, then so be it. Leirbagflow (talk) 17:21, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
